Hospitality Action provides vital support to those within our industry who have fallen on hard times. From physical illness or mental health issues to financial difficulty, family problems and addictions - Hospitality Action is there to help colleagues get back on their feet again.
HEALTHY EATING
We have a responsibility to offer our customers the information and choices for them to maintain good heart health. Our Nutritionist, Gabs, designs and develops menus with our teams, to ensure we provide foods that will not only taste amazing, but will be great for our bodies also. Our links with a number of health charities, help us keep ahead of the game when it comes to healthy eating and nutrition.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
From coffee roasters, potters, bakers and reusable water bottle makers, we have incorporated a number of social enterprise suppliers into our supply chain. We support them because we believe in improving the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the communities in which we work.
SUPPORTING FREE-RANGE
Free-range eggs taste great and are produced by happy hens - especially the ones we buy from Wood Farm in Cambridgeshire. That’s why 100% of our eggs are free range. Simple!
To help improve the mental health of our colleagues, we have signed up to the Mindful Employer Charter. The Charter sets out an ambitious set of guiding principles that we have embedded into our policies and procedures, as well as our culture at Houston & Hawkes. We want our team members to enjoy work, to be healthy and most importantly, safe.
BRITISH MADE RAPESEED OIL
Rapeseed oil is good for your body as it’s high in monounsaturated fats. And as we only buy rapeseed oil that’s produced in the UK (which is recycled into fuel after we use it), it’s better for the environment also. That sounds like a win-win to us!
