Meet our Superstars - Miles Baxter

This month the spotlight is on Miles Baxter (Ops legend). We asked him:
Q - If you weren’t in the hospitality industry, what do you think you would be?
A - A very average footballer
Q - Where and what is your favourite cooking memory?
A - There have been many, but I love a cooking class. An event that sticks in my mind was one evening at the Wandsworth cooking school. It was a simple pasta making event but with plenty of gin and tonic. It was great fun.
Q - Who is your biggest inspiration?
A - Probably my dad.
Q - What would you say to other people considering the hospitality industry?
A - Personally, I like spending time with people, both customers and colleagues. It's an extremely fun industry and one that is very diverse. Unlike an office or engineering role where specifics are required, or data input is the same, hospitality offers an opportunity to showcase your creativity with food and beverages, from creating dishes and food displays or cocktails and flaring. Each area has its own opportunity to shine.
